REMIC Products

The REMIC approach to capturing the sound of an acoustic instrument is based on close miking with a small form factor microphone directly attached at the instrument.

The attachment is achieved with uniquely designed mounts for positioning the microphone in the optimal place for capturing the true sound of the instrument.

The general approach ensures that the mounts for the various instruments are minimally intrusive for artist performance and that the aesthetic appearance of your instrument is retained as well as doing no harm to valuable instruments.
 At the same time you achieve maximum repeatability and compact and easy travel. This allows for reducing the time needed for setup and sound checks that every performance has the exact same sound quality even if the venues are changing.

Our microphones are designed to deliver a natural sound with clear definition free from microphone artefacts due to low intrusion in the sound field.

Several REMIC microphones are available to optimize your sound depending on the sonic environment in which you are playing:

• • Studio versions are based on an omnidirectional design, based on a measurement class condenser.
  • Live Band (LB) versions are based on the unique REMIC Audio FUSION Microphone Technology which combine the isolation of the pickup and the natural acoustic ambience of the condenser microphone

The mount allows for the maximum artist mobility on stage performances since no stand is required and it is not getting in conflict with your movements during the playing of the instrument. If complemented with the wireless versions no mobility limitations are imposed.

If you choose a microphone for wireless connections you will be able to connect directly to Shure wireless transmitters and their compatibles. In case you need other wireless systems supported you will have to buy one of the optional adapters.
