Carsten Kümmel: FOH of “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” interviewed about the use of REMIC MICROPHONES
Carsten Kümmel is one of the most sought after live sound engineers for complex crossover productions with orchestras. Carsten has specialized in live productions for around 20 years and the past 10 years, he has worked with complex orchestral productions.
Casten Kümmel is known as the FOH of the world class live productions “The World Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration”, BBC’s “Planet Earth” cinematic concerts and furthermore, he is a professor of live sound at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany. Carsten frequently works in Russia, Hungary, China and Europe in large scale live productions.
REMIC MICROPHONES were used on all string instruments of the orchestra as well as by the soloists on violin and cello in the production “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration” in April – May 2018.
