REMIC LB Live microphones

The REMIC Live Band (LB) Microphones are based on the unique FUSION technology which combine the isolation of the pickup pioneered by REMIC and the natural acoustic ambience of the condenser microphone.

FUSION microphones achieve the highest suppression of ambient sound-sources in a condenser microphone. The high suppression is achieved by omni-spherical suppression which is superior to classic cardioid microphones. The suppression is not based on directivity but on distance factor.

The Live Band microphones are designed for use at loud performances to suppress high bleed so the artist can get her own instrument sound in the IEM’s or wedges.

It’s a pure acoustic real-time design without electronics that isolates the instrument within a one meter sphere. Sound engineers and artists choose this microphone when nothing else works to suppress bleed. Similarly it can also be used for studio work where the room influence is to be removed for sound shaping.

With the LB version some sound processing is recommended to add reverberation, since removing bleed inherently also removes room ambience, the advantage being that you dont add reverb to the bleed.
