Applied acoustics and built-in bass guitar microphone. REMIC has been collaborating with Roger Valerioti and Nico Dayet Luthier on designing an instrument-specific microphone for Roger’s beautiful handmade, acoustic bass guitar.

In this case, Roger and Nico have placed a REMIC RE7100 microphone inside the body of the guitar. The mic uses an onboard preamp and can be positioned very close to the soundscape without disturbing the sound source, due to its very small form-factor. This solution provides the low-bleed characteristics of a pickup while representing a natural, acoustic sound.
