COLORADO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

STRING SECTION OF THE ORCHESTRA

“With the REMICs, it was the first time where I’m actually able to had a really good balance with any level of pop act, rock act – pretty much any genre”.

“The cellos and the basses really have that impact that they have never had before. So they are actually sounding like what they are supposed to sound in a pop situation”

Aric Christensen, Head of Audio, Colorado Symphony Orchestra

Aric Christensen, Head of Audio at Colorado Symphony  is uning REMIC Microphones for the string section of the orchestra. Aric Christensen is specialized in doing live audio for orchestra. 40% of their showa today are amplified and collaborative shows. The main factors for choosing REMIC is to prevent bleed from other instruments. Also, Colorado Symphony Orchestra is performing outside and the wind is a real big detriment and is a great challenge for amplifying stringed instruments especially for the lower register strings such as the cello and the bass.
